Biochem/physiol Actions

Phosphoserine (PS) maintains the nerve cell membrane and myelin sheath. It is found to be associated with cognitive disability in Alzheimer′s disease.

General description

In humans, phosphoserine(PS) is present in the intracellular membranes and grey matter. It is localized to the nuclear envelope, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, outer mitochondrial membranes, plasma membranes and myelin.
