Preparation Note

Description The PT sample size provided is 10 g of soil. The soil has been sterilized to minimize degradation of the sample. The PT sample has been sized to 100 mesh. Recommended storage condition is 4 ºC. The evaluation of results will be based on study statistics as required by TNI. The sample has been intentionally prepared with an apparent headspace.Sample Preparation For Method 8280A, an 8 g sample size contains sufficient concentrations of analytes such that levels above the method specified quantitative limits will be realized. For Method 8290, a 1 g sample will contain concentrations of analytes such that levels above the method specified quantitative limits will be realized. This holds true though levels of detection will be elevated due to the reduced sample size used relative to that specified in the method. Report on a wet weight basis.NOTE: The PT sample contains less than 3% moisture. Minimize exposure to the environment, cap when not in use.
