The benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies and cardiovascular disease, hyperpigmentation treatment, skin protection, anti-aging, iron absorption, and RBC production. It is used to treat scurvy, and it also functions as an antioxidant. Vitamin C is useful in the biosynthesis of collagen, L-carnitine, and neurotransmitters.
