A nutritious general purpose medium for the growth of bacteria and fungi in a contact plate to permit direct environmental sampling. Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA), also known as casein soya bean digest agar, is a medium primarily designed to recover a wide range of micro-organisms as described in the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) 2.6.12, United States Pharmacopeia (USP) 61> and ISO 11133. These contact plates are intended for monitoring the bioburden of flat surfaces.
