Chloroplatinic acid hexahydrate may be used as a platinum precursor in the preparation of ceria supported Pt catalyst, TiO₂/Pt nano-composites, Pt nanoparticles impregnated porous carbon films and cadmium sulfide-Pt colloidal system.

General description

Chloroplatinic acid hexahydrate (H₂PtCl₆.6H₂O) is an inorganic platinum salt. Pure quadrupole resonance frequencies of Cl³⁵ in H₂PtCl₆.6H₂O have been evaluated by spectrophotometric investigations.
