For example, it is used to prepare: SMA immobilized on mesoporous silica spheres for hydrolysis of ammonia borane. SMA doped carbon-ceramic composite electrodes for electrocatalytic reduction of bromate. SMA supported on silica gel (SiO2) for Hosomi–Sakurai allylation of carbonyl compounds. SMA supported on mesoporous SiO2 hollow spheres for Friedel–Crafts alkylation reaction.
