Sophoricoside (SOP) improves lipopolysaccharides (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in mice by activating the adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway. It also improves contact dermatitis by inhibiting the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) pathway in B cells in mice model.

Sophoricoside elicits anti-cancer, immunosuppressive, and anti-inflammatory activities. It inhibits proinflammatory cytokine production inhuman mast cells and has the potential to treat allergic inflammation diseases.

General description

Sophoricoside is an isoflavone glycoside found in the fruit ofSophora japonica. It is a structural isomer of genistin.
