Biochem/physiol Actions
Caspase-8 (CASP8) is involved in apoptosis, inflammation and cellular differentiation. It activates programmed cell death, after death receptor ligation. Casp8 is essential for the clonal expansion of T and B cell. It also participates in lymphocyte homeostasis.

General description
Caspase-8 (CASP8) is a member of the cysteine aspartate-specific proteases family. It is produced in the cell as procaspase-8, a sluggish zymogen. Procaspase-8 has a long prodomain, carrying two major protein interaction domains, DED1 and DED2, followed by one large (p18) and one small (p10) catalytic subunit. CASP8 is mapped to human chromosome 2q33.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Caspase 8 around the phosphorylation site of Tyr380.Immunogen Range: 346-395
Physical form
Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
