Biochem/physiol Actions

LY6E (lymphocyte antigen 6 family member E) controls T lymphocytes proliferation, differentiation and development. It induces HIV-1 Infection. Overexpression of LY6E gene in the peripheral blood cells of individuals with SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus) is associated with lupus activity.

General description

Anti-LY6E Antibody detects endogenous levels of total LY6E protein. LY6E (lymphocyte antigen 6 family member E) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored, interferon (IFN)-inducible protein, that is located on human chromosome 8q24. It is also called as RIG-E.
