General description
XIAP associated factor 1 (XAF1) is a cytokine-regulated protein expressed in the cytoplasm. It contains a tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor (TRAF) domain. The gene encoding XAF1 is localized on human chromosome 17p13.1.
