General description
TSKgel GMHHR-M mixed bed columns are packed with rigid, multiple pore size, polymer beads. Mixed bed columns are commonly used for unknown samples and for the analysis of polymers with a broad molecular weight distribution. TSKgel GMHHR-M columns are shipped in THF, which can be exchanged for a wide variety of organic solvents. TSKgel GMHHR-M columns are available in 5 and 13µm particle sizes. We recommend the use of TSKgel GMHHR-M(S) (13µm) to prevent or limit shearing of ultra high molecular weight polymers, if this occurs when using small (5µm) particle size columns.
The TSKgel HHR column line consists of eight columns with different pore sizes, TSKgel G1000HHR through TSKgel G7000HHR, and five columns with an extended linear range of the calibration curve. All TSKgel HHR-type columns are shipped in THF, which can be exchanged for a much broader range of organic solvents than TSKgel HXL columns, although Hxl columns are more inert. The maximum operating temperature for most TSKgel HHR-type columns is 140°C, except for GMHHR columns, which can only be used up to 80°C. TSKgel HHR-type columns are conventional GPC columns with dimensions of 7.8mm ID x 30cm.
