Application

Mininert valves are leak-tight closures for vials and other containers. They are available in both crimp and screw thread versions. Only PTFE and glass are in contact with the contents of the container. They are the ideal closure for the following applications: calibration standards air- or moisture-sensitive fluids derivatizating reagents volatile chemicals

Mininert^® valve may be used to seal screw-thread side-arm holding Erlenmeyer flasks containing enrichment cultures; during enrichment culture technique which was used to isolate bacteria from activated sludge, capable of degrading a wide range of aromatic hydrocarbons in mixtures, like ethylbenzene (EBZ), o-, m-, and p-xylene, naphthalene, isopropylbenzene (IPB), styrene (STYR), 1,2,4- and 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene (TMB), 2-chlorotoluene, and 1,2-, 1,3-, and 1,4-dichlorobenzene (DCB), as sources of carbon and energy.

The maximum temperature that Mininert Valves can be used at is 105° F. When Mininert Valves are used at high temperatures, returning them to room temperature may cause the valve to leak slightly.
