SLS in the Community: Our Volunteering Story with Edinburgh and ESES

At SLS, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve! Through our partnership with the University of Edinburgh and the ESES portal, our Scottish team has been actively involved in a wide range of community initiatives, working directly to create positive change.

By offering both practical support and valuable resources, we are helping local organisations tackle pressing challenges, from providing essential food supplies to supporting digital access for children in need.

Our team's dedication to volunteering reflects our core values of community engagement, sustainability, and creating opportunities for the next generation.

Some of our recent community initiatives:

  • Fet-Lor Youth Club – £250 in food vouchers to help provide essential support for local children

  • Play Midlothian – £250 in food vouchers to help children experience the joy of play

  • Bright Sparks Charity – Providing IT support to create better digital access for children who need it most

  • Mayfield & Easthouses Development Trust – IT advice on system migration

  • Townhill Primary School & West Fife Woodland Group – Helping children put up bird boxes

  • Viewforth High School – Careers Fair support, inspiring the next generation

We’re also actively involved in STEM outreach, sustainability initiatives, and mentoring, thanks to the dedication of our team members.

By working together, we’re creating meaningful change for people and the planet. Thank you to everyone involved!
