This MQuant® Hydrazine test kit is designed for the colorimetric determination of hydrazine in boiler water and boiler feed water, utilising a color-matching vessel. The colorimetric method involves a chemical reaction that produces a color change proportional to the concentration of hydrazine present in the sample. This reaction can be quantified using the item 1.08018 colour-matching vessel for hydrazine testing. The test can be used in boiler water and boiler feed water.

Method: In acidic solution hydrazine reacts with 4-(dimethylamino)benzaldehyde to form a yellow compound. The hydrazine concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the colour zones of a color-matching vessel.
