The Human Oncostatin M (OSM) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human Oncostatin M in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and urine.

General description

Oncostatin M (OSM) is a multifunctional hematopoietic cytokine that belongs to the interleukin-6 (IL-6) cytokine family. Human OSM is produced by activated T lymphocytes and monocytes mainly during inflammatory disorders. OSM acts as a cell growth modulator. In addition, it also participates in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor upregulation and induction of hematopoietic factors. OSM contributes to the inflammatory process, autoimmunity, and immunopathogenesis of cancers.
