Application

C₇₀ was used in the quantitative analysis of fullerenes in river sediment and soils.

C₇₀ may be incorporated into titanium oxide (TiO₂) based nanowires and it forms a nanocomposite for light responsive photocatalyst. High performance organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells may be fabricated by using C₇₀ as a photo-absorptive material.

(5,6)-Fullerene-C₇₀ (C₇₀)is an ellipsoidal fullerene which has stable spheroidal carbon molecules.

C₇₀ is an n-channel organic semiconductor. High reactivity of fullerenes is attributed to its characteristic pyramidalization of the sp² carbons. Vacuum dried to remove residual solvent.Typical hydrocarbon content ﹤0.25%.
