Oxoid DrySpot Legionella Species Latex Agglutination Test

The DrySpot™ Legionella Latex Test is a latex agglutination test for the identification of Legionella species grown on plate media from patients with suspected legionellosis or from environmental sources. The DrySpot™ Legionella Latex Test allows separate identification of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1, serogroups 2 to 14 and seven other Legionella species that have been implicated in human disease.

• Use this dry latex agglutination test for the identification of Legionella species isolated either from patients with suspected legionellosis or from environmental sources
• Blue latex particles sensitised with specific rabbit antibody reactive with the following species and serotypes dried onto cards: L. longbeachae 1 and 2, L. bozemanii 1 and 2, L. dumoffii, L. gormanii, L. jordanis, T. micdadei and L. anisa, these provide the test reaction area
• Blue latex particles sensitised with non-reactive rabbit globulins are dried onto the test card, these provide the control reaction area
• Kit includes 20 reaction cards (3 tests/card, 60 tests total), positive control, negative control, phosphate buffered saline, mixing paddles, and pouch clips
