Application

(3-Aminopropyl)triethoxysilane has been used for the preparation of cadherin surfaces on glass slides. It has been used for the preparation of RGD (Arg-Gly-Asp)-treated silicone membranes.It has been used for the preparation of the avidin–biotin coverslips.

Biochem/physiol Actions

(3-Aminopropyl)triethoxysilane forms aminopropyl derivative of glass, an adsorbent for affinity chromatography. It is used to prepare positively charged slides suitable for use with various immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization procedures.
