General description

Genomic DNA sheared by sonication for use in hybridization experiments. Tested for absence of nuclease. Fragmented DNA with a size range from 200-6000 nucleotides. Purified by phenol extraction and freeze dried. Suitable for blocking non-specific binding sites in hybridization experiments to reduce background. DNA isolated from Calf thymus is sonicated to fragment the DNA to an average size of approximately 400 bp.
