Biochem/physiol Actions

bPiDI is an α6β2-specific antagonist that inhibits nicotine-evoked and endogenous dopamine release from rat striatal slices (IC₅₀ = 150 nM, I_max = 55%). bPiDI treatment decreases nicotine self-administration, and nicotine-induced locomotor activity in rats.
