TRAM-34 is a potent inhibitor of the intermediate-conductance Ca²⁺-activated K⁺ channel.

TRAM-34 exhibits 100-fold selectivity (K_d = 20 nM) for IK_Ca1 channels over other K⁺ channels (Charybdotoxin, K_d = 5 nM, Clotrimazole, K_d = 70 nM; Nitrendipine K_d = 900 nM). Furthermore, TRAM-34 is known to suppress the activation of human T lymphocytes,.
