Application

The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 µL reagent / 100 µL of whole blood or 1e6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 mL) is sufficient for 100 tests.

Biochem/physiol Actions

T-cell receptor-CD3 complex containing CD3ε, CD3γ and CD3δ, is essentially involved in inducing early metabolic events that lead to T-cell activation. Mutation in the CD3ε has been observed in T-B⁺ NK⁺ severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) patients.

General description

The antibody MEM-57 reacts with gamma-epsilon and delta-epsilon dimers of human CD3 complex, a part of a bigger multisubunit T cell receptor complex (CD3/TCR) expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes and mature thymocytes.

CD3 molecule is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 11q23.3. The encoded protein exists in three isoforms, CD3ε, CD3γ and CD3δ and each contains an N-terminal extracellular domain, a transmembrane segment and a cytoplasmic domain. CD3 is a 20kDa glycoprotein expressed on surface of all human T lymphocytes.
