Monoclonal Anti-Fluorescein (FITC) IgG, CF^™ 488A antibody produced in mouse has been used in Off-chip miRNA targeting and On-chip miRNA cleavage.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Maternal IgG is the only antibody transported across the placenta to the fetus. Maternal IgG passively immunizes the infants.CF^™ dyes are a series of highly water-soluble fluorescent dyes, with wavelength extended over the visible and near-infrared (IR) spectrum for labeling biomolecules, mainly proteins and nucleic acids. The primary structure of the CF^™ dyes is either cyanine dyes or rhodamine dyes. CF^™ 633 produces the brightest antibody conjugates among spectrally similar dyes when excited by the 633nm He-Ne laser or the 635nm red diode laser. The most important advantage of CF^™ 633 is its excellent photostability. The molecular weight of CF^™ 633 is ~820 and its absorption/emission maxima are at 630/650nm.

General description

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) belongs to the immunoglobulin family and consists of a gamma (g) heavy chain in the constant (C) region. IgG is a widely expressed serum antibody. The monomeric structure of IgG constitutes two identical heavy chains and two identical light chains with a molecular weight of 50kDa and 25kDa respectively, the primary structure of this antibody also contains disulfide bonds involved in linking the two heavy chains, linking the heavy and light chains and resides inside the chains. IgG is further subdivided into four classes namely, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4 with different heavy chains, named g1,g2, g3, and g4, respectively. IgG is produced and released from CD5+B cells, the predominant lymphocytes in the neonatal cell repertoire.
