Platelet derived growth factor receptor β (PDGFRB) acts as a regulator of mesenchymal cells in tumor cells. Upregulation of the gene is observed in gastric cancer, breast and prostate cancers. Mutations in the gene is associated with infantile myofibromatosis.

General description

Anti-PDGFB Antibody detects endogenous levels of total PDGFB protein.

The platelet derived growth factor receptor β (PDGFRB) gene is mapped to human chromosome 5q32. It encodes for a receptor tyrosine kinase.
