Application
Anti-phospho-Retinoblastoma (pSer807,811) has been used in western blotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions
RB1 (RB transcriptional corepressor 1) plays an important role throughout G1/S phase transition. Absence of RB induces prostate cancer metastasis. It plays an important role in modulating the cell cycle. It also regulates cell stemness and differentiation.

General description
RB1 (RB transcriptional corepressor 1) codes for nuclear phosphoprotein pRB (retinoblastoma protein). It is located on human chromosome 13q14. It is a tumor-suppressor gene.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to residues around phosphoserine 807/811 of the human retinoblastoma tumor suppressor protein (Rb), conjugated to KLH.
Physical form
Solution in 10 mM sodium HEPES, pH 7.5, containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 100 µg/ml bovine serum albumin and 50% glycerol.
Preparation Note
Purified using protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes phosphorylated Rb (Ser807/Ser811) and does not react with non-phosphorylated Rb. Does not react with Rb phosphorylated at other sites.
