Biochem/physiol Actions
CIKS (connection to IKK (IκB kinase) and SAPK (stress-activated protein kinase) /JNK (jun kinase)) is susceptible to various diseases like psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It is responsible for the cardiomyocyte growth, fibroblast migration and proliferation, promoted by aldosterone. It participates in the signaling function of IL-17 (interleukin) cytokine family. It can act as a transcriptional enhancer due to its presence in the nuclear compartment of airway epithelial cells.
General description
