General description

Cell-permeable cysteine protease inhibitor. Inhibits cathepsin B (k₂/K_i = 8.9 x 10³ M^-1 sec^-1), cathepsin L (k₂/K_i = 3.8 x 10⁵ M^-1 sec^-1), cathepsin S (k₂/K_i = 4.2 x 10⁴ M^-1 sec^-1), and papain (k₂/K_i = 2.4 x 10³ M^-1 sec^-1).

Cysteine protease inhibitor. Selectively inhibits cathepsin B (k₂/K_i = 8.9 x 10³ M^-1sec^-1), cathepsin L (k₂/K_i = 3.8 x 10⁵ M^-1sec^-1), cathepsin S (k₂/K_i = 4.2 x 10⁴ M^-1sec^-1), and papain (k₂/K_i = 2.4 x 10³ M^-1sec^-1). Half-life in buffered solution (pH 5-9) = 25 h (30°C); 300 h (0°C).
