Application

Ultrafiltration Discs, 30 kDa NMW has been used with Amicon^® stirred-cell concentrator for mammalian cell protein purification. It has also been used in ultrafiltration units for xylanase inhibitor fractionation.

General description

Ultrafiltration membranes are typically made from regenerated cellulose or polyethersulfone (PES). As a rule, the membrane nominal molecular weight cut-off (NMWCO) should be 2-3 times smaller than the molecular weight of the solute to be retained when using regenerated cellulose.
