10:0 PC (DDPC/1,2-didecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) may be used: as an internal standard to measure lipid metabolites for metabolic profiling using hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC)to prepare lipid bilayer to reconstitute Vpu (membrane protein) and for biophysical studies to prepare phospholipid membrane to study lipid-induced conformation of a 27-residue Cry4Ba-α7 peptide

High or low level of phosphatidylcholine (PC) can affect energy metabolism in several organelles.

General description

The list of Phosphatidylcholine products offered by Avanti is designed to provide compounds having a variety of physical properties. Products available include short chain (C3-C8 are water soluble and hygroscopic), saturated, multi-unsaturated and mixed acid PC′s. All of the products are purified by HPLC, and special precautions are taken to protect the products for oxidization and hydrolysis.

10:0 PC (DDPC/1,2-didecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a zwitterionic and shorter-acyl chain phospholipid.
