Comprised of glass beads, the filter aid improves flow rates and recoveries when using 3M^™ Empore^™ Extraction Disks. Non-porous, inert and resistant to leaching. When placed on top of the Empore^™ Extraction Disk at a depth of about 1 cm, Empore^™ Filter Aid 400 acts as depth filter to inhibit the migration of suspended solids to the surface of the disk, reducing extraction time and improving rates and recovery of analytes.
