General description

Inhibitor of bacterial, viral, and mammalian neuraminidases. K_i = 4 µM for influenza virus neuraminidase. Believed to act by binding to the catalytic site of neuraminidase as a transition state analog.

A ganglioside neuraminidase inhibitor that is believed to act by binding to the catalytic site of neuraminidase. Reported to inhibit influenza virus neuraminidase (K_i = 4 µM). Also inhibits bacterial, viral, and mammalian neuraminidases.
