With over 25 years of experience in monoclonal antibody production and conjugation, Diatec Monoclonals has established itself as one of Norway’s leading biotechnology companies.
To further enhance the efficiency of its small-scale antibody production workflows, the Diatec team turned to WHEATON® CELLine™ 1000 flasks from DWK Life Sciences — achieving significant gains in productivity, yield, and reproducibility.
Creating Scalable Bioreactor Conditions on a Small Scale
For Diatec Monoclonals, one of the ongoing challenges in small-scale antibody production was finding a cell culture system that could replicate the optimised conditions of large-scale bioreactors, while remaining simple, compact, and cost-effective.
The WHEATON® CELLine™ 1000 Flask provided an elegant solution. Designed to support high-density cell culture, the CELLine™ flask features a dual-compartment design: an upper media chamber and a lower cell chamber separated by a semi-permeable cellulose membrane that enables the exchange of nutrients and waste.
20 Years of Proven Performance
Diatec Monoclonals has been working with CELLine™ flasks for more than 20 years, integrating them as a core part of its small-scale production platform. Depending on project needs, the company uses anywhere from one to 24 flasks per production run — achieving consistent, high-concentration antibody yields that streamline downstream processing.
