These papers do not require the need for a colour chart as their purpose is to demonstrate qualitative analysis. They will not provide accurate pH measurement, but will change from one colour to another at a set pH value, depending on the paper. Each book contains 20 leaves (60 x 10mm).
- Litmus red paper will turn blue in color when placed in basic solutions (﹥pH 7), if the solution is acidic, the paper will remain red
- Litmus blue paper will turn red in colour when placed in acidic solutions (﹤pH 7), if the solution is basic, the paper will remain blue
