Application

FTCS can be incorporated in polyvinylidiene fluoride(PVDF) with titanium oxide(TiO₂) which can be used for membrane distillation for water treatment and anti-fouling based application.

1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane(FAS21, FDDTS) was used to prepare a hydrophobic surface in a study. Self assembled monolayers of FDDTS were formed on titania substrates to render the surfaces hydrophobic.
