Rc-Ome may be used in GABA_A-mediated cell signaling studies.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Rc-OMe is a GABA_A PAM that distinguishes α₁β_2γ2s from α₁β₂ receptors. The compound has very weak potentiating effects on α₁β₂, but potentiates GABA-elicited currents of α₍₁₂₃₎β_2γ2s receptors, all with low µM EC₅₀s. Rc-OMe acts at a binding site that is distinct from BDZ, pentobarbital and loreclezole modulatory sites.
