Application
Anti-CD24, clone 3N22 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1564, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically detects CD24 and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, Flow Cytometry, and Western Blotting.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CD24 in lymphocytes, Jurkat, and Daudi cell lysates.Flow Cytometry Analysis: 1 µg from a representative lot detected CD24 in one million Raji cells.Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound CD24 peptide with a KD of 3.4 x 10-7 in an affinity binding assay.Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user

General description
ZooMAb antibodies represent an entirely new generation of recombinant monoclonal antibodies. Each ZooMAb antibody is manufactured using our proprietary recombinant expression system, purified to homogeneity, and precisely dispensed to produce robust and highly reproducible lot-to-lot consistency. Only top-performing clones are released for use by researchers. Each antibody is validated for high specificity and affinity across multiple applications, including its most commonly used application. ZooMAb antibodies are reliably available and ready to ship when you need them.Learn more about ZooMAb here.

Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
Target description
Signal transducer CD24 (UniProt: P25063; also known as Small cell lung carcinoma cluster 4 antigen, CD24) is encoded by the CD24 (also known as CD24A) gene (Gene ID: 100133941) in human. CD24 is a GPI-anchor membrane glycoprotein protein that is expressed on hematopoietic cells including B cells, T cells, neutrophils, macrophages and in neuronal and ganglion cells. Its expression is also observed in many types of cancer cells. Its expression is reported to be higher levels in progenitor cells and metabolically active cells compared to terminally differentiated cells. In B cells its expression is lost when primary B-cells are induced to differentiate in antibody-forming cells. Deficiency of CD24 can result in a reduction in late pre-B and immature B-cell populations in the bone marrow. CD24 is extensively used as a marker for the differentiation of hematopoietic and neuronal cells. As a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol-anchor molecule, it mediates signal transduction by recruiting Src family protein tyrosine kinases via membrane rafts and also activates the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. CD24 is synthesized with a signal peptide (aa 1-26) and a propeptide (aa 60-80) that are cleaved off to produce the mature form (aa 27-59). Mutation is CD24 gene are linked to development of multiple sclerosis, a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
