Application

Sulfamethizole has been used as a reference standard to determine the antibiotic resistance of urinary tract pathogens, Danish Escherichia coli strains isolated from patients with urinary tract infections and bacteraemia, and distribution of sul genes conferring sulphonamide resistance.
