Wedelolactone inhibits NF-κB-mediated gene transcription in cells by blocking the phosphorylation and degradation of IκBα. Irreversible inhibitor of IKKα and β kinase activity (IC50 ﹤ 10 µM). Wedelolactone has no effects on p38 MAP kinase or Akt.
