On October 8, 2024, Honeywell announced its plan to spin off its Advanced Materials business into an independent U.S. publicly traded company. Since then, they have taken important steps forward, including selection of the company name of the proposed spin-off, which will be Solstice Advanced Materials, Inc., and filing the Form 10 registration statement.
Upon completion of the spin-off in the fourth quarter 2025, Solstice Advanced Materials will be a pure-play specialty materials company with leading market positions in refrigerants, semiconductor materials, industrial-grade fibres and healthcare packaging solutions. The independent company will maintain a global manufacturing footprint, including 21 manufacturing sites and four R&D sites.
Please note that your company’s systems do not need to be updated, and no action is required at this time. Your existing arrangements remain valid and fully in place. Honeywell will change their legal entity name in the future and will get back in touch at that time.
Please keep in mind there are country-specific rules and timelines for when product relabelling will happen. This transition will happen over time and is largely dependent on stock levels and ship-to-country legislation.
In the interim, please be assured:
- Honeywell packaging is the same as Solstice packaging.
- You will continue receiving the same trusted materials with no changes to product content or quality.
