Preparation Note
Description The PT sample is a soil containing trace levels of explosives and explosive residues. The PT sample size provided is 30 g of soil. The soil has been chemically stabilized to minimize degradation of the sample. The PT sample has been sized to 100 mesh. Required storage condition is 4º C. The sample has been intentionally prepared with an apparent headspace.Sample Preparation Analyze the sample using the preparatory and determinative method(s) for which you are seeking accreditation. The sample was specifically designed for SW846 8330, but is suitable for equivalent methods. Nitroglycerin must be analyzed using method 8332. If you are accrediting for more than one method make additional copies of the report form and clearly indicate the method used for the data being reported. Determine the concentration and report your results and method on the analysis data sheet provided. Results are to be reported on a wet weight basis.
