The Browne Sterilisation Control Tubes are an effective and immediate visual check on sterilisation conditions. These tubes contain heat-sensitive dyes that change colour after sufficient time at the autoclave's desired temperature. Select the tube to match your sterilisation parameters (time/ temperature) and distribute them throughout the load prior to sterilisation.
- Black spot: tube solution will change colour at 121°C for 15 min
- Yellow spot: tube solution will change colour at 134°C for 3 mins
