Application

Anti-RIMBP3 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Biochem/physiol Actions

RIM-BP are found to bind to the presynaptic active zone proteins RIMs. They also serve as binding partners for voltage-gated Ca²⁺-channels. They form a functional link between the synaptic-vesicle fusion apparatus and Ca²⁺-channels.

General description

RIMBP3 (RIMS binding protein 3) gene is exclusively expressed in mammals. All RIM-BP proteins have three SH3-domains and two to three fibronectin III repeats. RIM-BP3 is encoded by a single exon of ~ 5.5kb and three copies of this exon are present in the human genome on chromosome 22.
