Biochem/physiol Actions

Aberrations in FGFR4 results in neuroblastoma and altered receptor degradation. It acts as a predictive biomarker in oral and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Suppressing FGFR4 may affect the biological characteristics in gastric cancer cells.

General description

FGFR4 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 4) belongs to FGFR kinase family. In adult tissues, FGFR is expressed in a cell type-specific mode. It is located on chromosome 5q35.The antibody detects endogenous level of total FGFR4 protein.
