Biochem/physiol Actions
Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) has a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition. It also has roles in invasion and in the cell cycle. UCHL1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of carboxy-terminal ubiquitin esters and amides. The protein has been associated with various cancers.
